Abstract:

Information technology is playing an increasingly important role in today’s agricultural production systems, regardless of operation size, type of commodities and management approach.  An innovative use of precision farming would be to apply technological advances to high-value crops, such as strawberries, which could be produced at a higher profit margin.  The long-term goal of this project is to enhance the profitability of high-value crop production by introducing tools and methods to help farmers to better manage their inputs.
